Nib interchangeability

Does anyone know the source for Franklin-Christoph nibs? Would a #5 FC nib be similar or interchangeable with a #5 Edison nib?

I read somewhere that both Edison and F-C source their nibs from JoWo, so they're probably interchangeable.
