Next Razor from Feather AS-AD1 Recommendation

I use the Feather AS-AD1 and have the ED89L as well. I find the Feather works best for my sensitive skin and "thin" beard. I do think it is a little too mild, but am not fond of the ED89L. I am wondering what a next best razor might be to try next. I am not sure if the Feather AS-AD2 is changed enough to make it the next razor.

The D2 is nearly as mild go with a Merkur slant.

The M1 or M2 from Above the Tie might fit the bill if you're looking for a stainless razor.

I pretty much am looking for the next razor after using the AS-D2. I am interested in ATT, M2 or R2.

You might consider a flare tip or black handle vintage Gillette Superspeed. A bit more aggressive than D1 or D2 but very comfortable and effective.

The Atlas M1 and M2 look interesting. Not sure of the difference and how they compare to the EJ89L razor. I want a razor that will give me a closer shave than I can get with the AS-AD1 over two passes and sometimes three.

how about an adjustable, so you can fine tune what you prefer (kind of mild, kind of aggressive)?

lots of good choices among the progress, futur, gillettes, etc.

Everyone should try at least one adjustable at some point. My pick would be a vintage Gillette Super Adjustable (Black Beauty). You can pick between regular (3") and long (4") handle versions.
