Newbie question

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum, and considering taking up straight razor shaving.

I have a couple moles on my faces, they normally aren't a problem when shaving with a cartridge razor. My question : how easy is it to shave with a straight razor when you have moles on your face?

First of all Welcome to B&B!! Glad to have you!! I might suggest that if you are totally new to str8 razors that you practice you technique with your str8 on areas of your face where there are no moles until you are comfortable. One thing that I like about str8 razor shaving is that with proper technique you can literally shave one hair off accurately, so there would be no problem with moles. Make sure your razor is honed to shave ready and ask questions. I like you am new and have been able to find a wealth of information and friendly people here. Str8 razor shaving is not learned overnight however the jouney for me has been fun all along!!

I have a rather bumpy mole, yet I am able to shave over it with a straight, and it leaves it hairless and cut free.

Yes, because a straight razor is utterly dirigible, in skilled hands it will go exactly where you wish, and do precisely as you command.

But I agree with the previous poster - practice on more neutral terrain to first develop your chops.
