Newbie Just pick this up

Hello every on I just picked this up and need help Identifying the Year, also I would like to find some Gem wedge blades to complete the set. The case which is in pretty rough shape has slots for 7 Blades and is labeled Monday-Sunday. The ribbon on the lid says American Gem Cutlery, so I know it's before they became known as just Gem Cutlery. The blades slide in and are held in on the sides a the top with a thumb catch additionally the thumb catch has a Z on it. Also if you could tell me what the other piece in the kit is the blades slide in to it. Thank you for your help.

Thanks everyone for the comments, happy to be aboard. I just started collecting, (this was my first purchase.) I picked it up aand a couple of silver picture frames at an estate sale for $30. Problem is I've pounded the web and I can't find any info on it. I think its early 1900's before American Gem dropped the American, but that's just a guess.
