Just checking in.
I got frustrated with the ever higher prices and more blades with the cartridge razors. It also seemed like they clogged up almost instantly, and I got more razor burn from the whiskers in the razor than from the razor. Since I shave my head I was using a couple blades a week...
Finally had enough and pulled out an antique Gillette DE razor I have had for a long time. Started using it with shaving cream out of the can and Wilkinson blades from Wal-Mart. Wasn't really enjoying the shave as much as I was the $.10 blades. Not a bad shave though...
Wasn't really satisfied and started talking with some friends, and reading everything I could find on line about the "WET SHAVE".... NOW I have a new Merker 34C, a badger brush, shaving mug with soap, shaving cream, aftershave lotion, stiptic pencil, etc....
I'm also enjoying my shaving now and getting the best shaves ever. Looking forward to learning more and experimenting more...
