Gillette slim twist + Gillette Platinum
Try it a few times and see if it works for you. That’s all that really matters.
I have a '84 slim twist, it' s a nice razor and it's not aggressive.
I do find it to be a little light weighted, if you're new you might end up thinking you need to push down on de razors to get good results. I'm guessing you already own it and there's no reason why it would be a bad shaving tool.
If you haven't bought it yet, an Edwin Jagger de89 is a very smooth, affordable and uncomplicated razor with a little more heft to it. I would start there.
The Gillette platinum blades are one of my favorites, smooth and sharp.
Enjoy your shaves. If you dont want to end up with a zillion razors by the end of 2022, stop using this forum.

I have a blue and a white Slim Twist and both work very well.

Palmolive cream & Omega 49 brush & Nivea balm post shave
All solid choices you should get some good shaves
If you want more protection and cushion then Nivea dark blue is a good cream choice as well.
Should be a very fine set-up to get you started!!
