Newb question about BRW

I just started looking at the razor threads on a regular basis, and noticed that there is a place call bobsrazorworks. I'm aware that his handles and razors are quite popular, but I don't quite understand a few things. First off, I have a parker 91r which is a 3 piece razor. Can I just buy one of his handles and assume it will fit the head of my 3 piece, or any other 3 piece for that matter. I'm certain I'll buy more 3 piece razors in the future, so that's why I'm asking. I'm also sure you all know that he sells NEW heads with his handles. Will these shave the same way as the vintage ones? I'd really like to try one if that's the case. It would be much appreciated if I could get these things cleared up. Thanks.

I'd also like to add that while I'm still a newbie, I've been doing this for a couple of months, not weeks. I'm well aware of what open comb razors are, and that they are more aggressive. I feel that I'm simply ready to take the next step.

You're probably not aware, but Bob recently passed away and his services are no longer available.

To answer your other question, a lot of the handles are interchangeable but not all of them. Generally it's best to ask about specific combinations to see if anyone else has done it.

I wasn't aware. After all, I'm fairly new to this. I just want a really nice handle. Maybe a tradere, weber, or ikon can be a good alternative.

I,ve got an ikon and a tradere both are great ikon is short tradere is long

I have a Weber bulldog on a Muhle r41 that I really like. I also have a Tradere razor and I enjoy using this razor very much. I guess that it would depend on your preferance for long or short handles. I like both types myself.
