My understanding is that some News have wider (or narrower) recesses. Some seem to fit other handles better than others.
True. If I recall correctly, some recesses are 8mm across and others are 10mm across.
First chance I get to pick-up a replated New head from the Hobbyist forum, I plan on pairing one with my Pearl/Cadet TP-26 handle. In the meantime, I'm frankenrazoring it with the Pearl/Cadet OC bottom-plate and Lord L6 top-plate to make it a tiny bit milder and eliminate the play in blade alignment.
I love the New heads (Krona Kruiser sells them from time to time that I have seen, nickel or chrome), but not the handles. Hence, the Tech fat handle for me.
I got mine from Krona Kruiser and highly recommend his work. Right now mine is riding a Fat Tech handle with solder strips in it for weight I'm hoping the Cadet I have on order will mate with my short comb New head without any issues and maybe add a little more weight .
