New (to me) The NEW DELUXE

Good day all!

I am looking for validation or new information contrary to what I think this is. I purchased this on eBay this week and I know that it is from "THE NEW" era with a serial number 47715. The finish is chromium and from what I found on Badger & Blade, this is most likely a "Norfolk" however the card insert calls it the New De Luxe. Is the De Luxe a different model or are De Luxe's also Norfolk's?

I am also trying to date this and am having difficulty. The Badger & Blade dating page, (US Gillette Dating Information - https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/wiki/US_Gillette_Dating_Information) states that these razors didn't start until 1929. The serial number does not follow that and would fall under the date of 1928. The Razor Emporium website (Gillette Date Codes - https://www.razoremporium.com/gillette-date-codes-serial-numbers) has this razor dates as being 1930. What are your thoughts?

Lastly, what value would you place on this for insurance?

Thank you for your assistance.

It is a NEW Norfolk De Luxe Tuckaway handle in chrome. Gillette just threw these names around, such as Norfolk, Oxford, Windsor, Belmont, etc. They usually denoted how they were put up in terms of case, blade bank, there were also some differences in handle designs too.

I believe your model is a 1930. Here is an English New De Luxe Norfolk made in England. Photo from Mr Razor.

B&B does not permit valuations, I hope you understand.

Lovely razor set and in superb condition. I might add that those provide a very nice shave if you plan on using it.
Congrats!
