I stumbled across a couple of old razors today, picked them up for next to nothing.
They were pretty gross, caked on old soap, both had old blades installed, were filthy and full of old gunk...just about passed on these, maybe I should of
Took em home and cleaned them up...
The NEW isnt too bad, its Canadian made and will be serviceable.
This is my first open comb, so I will give it a try for sure.
The other one turned out to be a English made 40's style Rocket
Its been ridden hard...not sure if its a keeper or not
Parts of it are in very good condition, but all 4 corners of the blade guards have the chrome chipped off,
I imagine this is from throwing the razor on a hard surface for many years
The top middle guard also has been abused on the corners and the one door looks like it was brutally sanded??
The back cleaned up nice, considering it was a real mess of old soap, gunk etc
Inside is decent, it was pretty disgusting when I started, marked "patent pending"
I'll throw a blade in it and see if it still shaves ok....
Thanks for looking
Kevin
