New, Tech & Fatboy

ok, I am going to give this a try,

what is the difference between these razors ?

and where can I buy one, (preferably already restored in a pristine condition etc)

I have a futur, 39c and 12c already . .

Worlds of difference between those razors.

A New is an "Open Comb" Razor, a Tech has a Guard Bar, but a one piece cap, and a Fatboy is a Twist to Open razor that has adjustable blade gap.

A lot of nice stuff there for reasonable prices. Look at the pictures and find what you like.

Tech - 3 piece, undo the handle, head splits into 2 pieces, put blade between the two pieces and redo up the handle ( does that make sense ?? )
With safety bars like your 39c

Fatboy - TTO ( Twist to open ), twist the bottom TTO knob, the doors open up , place your blade in and tighten the knob again.
Fatboy is also adjustable to be able to change the blade exposure ( agressiveness ) like your Futur

New is like your 19c with open comb and still 3 piece.

Dunno about in Vic but down here I can easily find British Aluminium Handled Techs ( same as the one pictured ) . I can think of at least 3 different shops that have them.

I'm not interested in them, so normally just leave them on the shelf.

These are the two common heads of the New, long comb and short comb. These are the heads that Bob uses to make his custom razors.

thanks guys, that was exactly the info I was looking for, now decisions decisions . . .

anyone do customs handles for the fatboys ?

No one that I'm aware of. That would be pretty complicated due to the quantity of moving parts, though there are quite a few places where you can get custom handles for the other types you mentioned.
