New Store in Cary, NC

Opulence of Southern Pines is opening a store this weekend in Cary, NC in the Saltbox Village shopping center. I actually popped in yesterday, and they weren't open yet! The lady who worked there was very polite and hospitable, even showed me their shaving supplies. They had a lot of nice stuff from Castle Forbes, Edwin Jagger, Mühle, and what looked like the full lineup from Proraso. Also, some Derby blades IIRC. I don't have official word on pricing yet, but their site is shop-able and the store I believe is open as of today.

Oooh... my aunt and uncle used to live there and my cousin goes to NC State. Reason to visit the area? I think so.

That brings back memories! I used to live there a few years back and shopped in that area many times. Now they get the good stuff!

They used to be on larger premises in the same shopping center and reopened on Friday. I stopped in today and they had a rack of shaving gear - creams, oils, aftershaves, razors, brushes, etc. Proraso, Castle Forbes and Musgo were represented. I only had 2 minutes to go in and buy the Castel Forbes Lavender that I've been itching to buy for 3 months but they seem to be well stocked and happy to be open again. I fully intend to go back again soon.

I was in the old location once and picked up some shaving cream. The ladies asked me if I was a wetshaver. When I admitted that I was, they told me that I should check out Badger and Blade, a great website that is all about shaving. They were very excited about it.

Wife got me an E. Jagger brush and bowl there for Christmas. Derby blades were $5.00 for 5 blades ... a bit steep, I do believe. I'll drop by when I get a minute and report back with prices.

You could probably hit that by just buying a full range of Castle Forbes stuff.
