New Slim with Feather blade.

I've never used an adjustable before but just got a new (to me) Slim to use. I'm used to a Merkur HD.

What setting should I start out on with a Feather blade and do you go more aggressive on subsequent passes?

A Merkur HD and a Gillette adjustable at 4 are roughly equivalent if you want to start with something similar. I don't usually change the adjustment during a shave but I do change it with different brands of blades.

So does anyone go past a #5 or #6?

What is better.. a non-aggressive blade with an aggressive setting or a super sharp blade with a less aggressive setting?

I usually go 5 or 6 with mine for ATG and WTG. If I'm feeling really adventurous, I'll go 8 with the grain, really slowly.
