... the Yaqi Ghost 90SB head mounted on a gorgeous Dscosmetic Titanium spiral handle purchased from @uptown on the BST.
Great shaving razor, beautiful combination, and this feels awesome in the hand. While I love the Henson AL13++, and the Yaqi Ghost Ti70, this razor simply blows both away in my book. I love the heft of a steel razor, this combo steel/titanium weighs in at 81 grams. @Dtownvino warned me that SS and Ti can have galling issues, but I use silicone grease on the threads and put some into the threads in the handle with a Q-Tip and I bet that will eliminate any issues. The grease is waterproof, but I'll reapply it every couple of weeks. I also have a heavy SS handle I bought years ago I can use, but I doubt it's necessary.
I've been playing with razors lately, and declaring each new one The One, but this one actually is, because I'll never buy another razor again. After trying the Ghost Ti 70 I wanted to see what the 90 head is like, and it is perfect for me. My longest running favorite razor was the Merkur 34C, and this one is closer to it in aggression level than either the Henson or the Ghost 70, and it gives a perfect shave. Weight, balance, angles, comfort, it all comes together in this razor. And in addition to looking gorgeous, there is no dropping that handle with soapy hands with those deep grooves. No more experimenting, although I did enjoy learning the Henson and the Ghost Ti70. This is it for me.
BTW, that Omega Vintage Elite is the best synthetic brush I've ever tried, by far. Thanks to @Marco for enticing me into buying it. He needs a badge for most effective enabler on B&B, the last two purchases, this brush and a TFS soap I made within 24 hours of his mentioning it. However, whenever following a Marco recommendation, I can say he's never once led me astray, always a superlative product!
