Shaved with the new paraben free TOBS avocado this morning and I'm thinking this is a little less gentle on the face than the previous formula (which I went through 2 tubs of)...I'll need to test it further to confirm this but does anyone else have this experience? I'm talking about people who've used this stuff extensively and are familiar with the old formula and have used the new as well. Not a newbie who just tried a sample of the new and had a bad experience.

The old version of Taylors Avocado was one of my favourite shaving creams.
Absolutely lovely: great performance, great overall quality, great shave.
The new "paraben free" version is not the same.
Although still a good cream, it simply does not shave as the old one.
The new Avocado doesn't irritate my face at all, so I do not have issues on this point.
The question is that it isn't any more the great shaving cream I loved so much.
In my opinion the new Avocado is less slick and less moisturizing.
In other words the old version was much better.

Not exactly, but the new tub clearly says paraben free on the bottom and has the TOBS logo embossed on the side of the tub, which is different from the last formulation. I'm aware that this is at least the third formula the Avo is on right now. I never tried the old old formula where the label was painted on to the top of the tub as opposed to the sticker on top.
