New Muhle spy shot on Facebook

Muhle have revealed a spy shot of a new razor on Facebook:

A full brass restyled R41?
One can hope!

I think, and hope, that [02 - 12] is standard European notation for December 2. I hate long waits... ;-)

To me it looks like the head is an R89. My hope is that instead of just a new finish that is made of brass or steel. I know that is a longshot but I can hope, at least for the next few days.

I sure hope the handle has some grip. I have both the R89 and R41 models. I would like to see an upgrade in materials and something different in the head. Not sure what, just improvement.

HaHa... Photoshop works wonders! Edit: Certainly doesn't look like an R41 head....

Looks like an R89 head. Can't tell if the color is the lighting, but maybe, just maybe- gasp - titanium? I mean, maybe my parents did too much LSD in the ’60s, but I kinda see a little bit of that rainbow swirl, on the handle. Am I hallucinating?

Here's what certain treatments of titanium look like:

If it's just the handle, I don't know that it would be any benefit at all, but it might sell lots of razors. Monday should be interesting.

I'll be danged if I can see what's different about it, though, unless it's a new dark finish and not just a dark photo.
It's all about the black background. The secret message is that this razor is a real energy saver because it is fully functional without switching on the light in the bathroom. The Beatles have foreseen this technological breakthrough:

Mean Mister Mustard sleeps in the park
Shaves in the dark...

The inversing the image was intended to reveal surface features like the comb, not color. Trust the shape of the razor head revealed by the reversed image, NOT the color.

I sure hope the handle has some grip. I have both the R89 and R41 models. I would like to see an upgrade in materials and something different in the head. Not sure what, just improvement.

I agree that the R89 head is about the best razor I have ever used. My current favorite is my pre-war Tech but the only design I have preferred has been the R89. Unfortunately, I have had two of these and after several months of use the threads of both lost plating and started to degrade. I have not had any issues with my tech and have been using, almost exclusively, since April. If Muhle does decide to come out with a brass or steel razor it would immediately become my go to razor.
