My New question is: To replate or not? and if replate, bright nickel or gold?

I have a New LC, New SC, 1920s 3-piece Old Type, and an older Single Ring. I generally prefer all these vintage OCs to most of the newer OCs that I own - they are efficient while being forgiving at the same time.

I have the LC as well and it's a really nice razor for it's price. My only issue is that I can't use any of my stainless steel handles, because I can't tightentem all the way down and I think that affects the way the razor shaves.

Have you considered an Ikon B1 OC head? It is CNC machined and should take any of your SS handles.
I´ve read from folks who use it that it shaves just like the Gillette.

A Nickel plating seems to hold better with time. So if you´re not allergic to Nickel and see your razor as utilitarian Nickel should be the way to go.
Gold however, is beautiful

I recently got a New LC and have been really enjoying it. It seems to give me a longer lasting shave than my techs but the techs give me a more comfortable shave
