New Knots at TGN

Network errors on getting to their site (getting hammered with traffic?). Just when i thought i was done with my restore projects for now.. will have to find a suitable handle or two!

Yikes!! The 24mm Super is 66% more than the regular. Not sure if the squeeze is worth the juice. I wonder if they're going to come out in smaller sizes?

I've thought for a long time now that the Finest at TGN was their best offering. I am going to have to try out the Super Finest, but it is a bit dearer than its simpler predecessor.

I saw this today too as I've been checking TGN every few days for the Finest 20mm bulb to come back into stock.
Looks like they have three grades of two-band. One they call Super Finest, Finest-2, and the Finest they previously carried. Right now they only have the Super in 24mm and Finest-2 in 26mm, HMW in 24mm; I hope to see more sizes in the coming days.

On the subject of TGN knots, I'm thinking of building myself a brush, but the TGN's offerings are so extensive as to be confusing.

For instance, what are the differences between the "Silvertip Grade A," "Super Silvertip," "Premium Silvertip" and "Super Badger" ? These 4 premium silvertip knots are the same price within a dollar or two, and Tony's descriptions are virtually identical and not very, ehh . . . , descriptive.

Also, can anyone compare the standard silvertip knots with the best badger knots. Surprisingly, the a 22mm best badger knot is $3.00 more expensive that the silvertip.

Lastly, can anyone offer opinions on the "24mm Bristle Knot" and the "3 Band Nylon" knots?

Thank you.
