Interesting, I wanted to modify a piece I already have. What is the material you are using to hold the brushes with?

It's steel wire, bent into a squared off U shape, painted (not stainless), each "u" glued to the back, in a groove, then covered in shrink wrap. I used some old lawn flags I found in the garage, for the wire, and 22 gauge shrink wrap, over the exposed parts.

Search for test tube holders like the ones from chemistry class. They work great as razor stands and hold 6 a piece.
