New GFT Skinfood Ingredients?

I was looking into making my own aftershave sort of skinfood, when I came across this thread which showed the ingredients of GFT's Coral Skinfood http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/1679-The-illustrious-Trumper-Skinfood-(Coral)

What stumped me is that my sample of coral skinfood lists the ingredients as follows: Water, Rose Damascena Flower Distillate, Glycerin, Alcohol Denatured, Astragalus Gummifer, Parfum, Geraniol. Citronellol, Methylcloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Menthol, Linalool, and some colors...

So clearly, since the above thread was from 2006, they have since changed their ingredients. However, I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me:
a) when did they change their ingredients
b) why did they change them?
and lastly,
c) if you've tried both new and old, which one was better?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Essentially:

1. They reduced the amount of thickener (Gum Tragacanth = Astragalus Gummifer).
2. They reduced the amount of menthol.
3. They removed Nipagin (methylparaben)

The change occurred mostly due to EU cosmetics labeling requirements (around the time the Sandalwood Skin Food was released (in 2008?).

Both formulas work well.

HTH.

Thanks,
Mike
