What's new

New from Rome

Hi to all!

New here and "almost" new about Straight Razors Shaving.
Got my first one in May and since then... never looked back! Now I've 22 straights & some stones.
Really love honing and shaving with old razors and hope to learn always more from the forum's expert guys!

Looking forward to hearing about those 22...

The most are very cheap vintage razors (less than 10 or 20 bucks) I bought around the web... and I enjoyed to clean and see if I could make them work. Whit many I succeeded, while some not... :biggrin1:

Anyway... I'll write them down. The worst ones are in red.

1) Thiers Issard "Le Gnome" France 5/8" - Bought already cleaned & Honed
2) T. Wilkinson & Son - Sheffield 6/8" - Idem
3) Puma 89 Solingen 6/8" - Idem
4) Friede (Frameback - Japan) 7/8" - Almost NOS - Already Honed

5) Estas 51 Solingen - Had to shorten the blade 'cause of a chip on the edge.
6) W. Poltgen Solingen 6/8"
7) Lasso Solingen 6/8"
8) Import (Solingen?) 5/8"
9) Newton "Copper King" (Solingen?) 5/8"
10 & 11) Bengall Cast Steel Sheffield 6 & 7/8"
12) C.V. Heliestrand Eskilstuna N. 7 5/8"
13) E.A. Berg Eskilstuna 5/8"
14) Jernboladget (Faux Frameback - Eskilstuna) 5/8"
15) Coudert "Dinamic" (Frameback - France) 13/16
16) E. Blanc (Frameback - France) 5/8" - Bought already Honed
17) Dovo Tennis 20 Solingen 5/8"
18) C.V. Dahlgren Eskilstuna 3/8"
19) Swedish Magnetic Steel (Solingen?) 5/8"
20) Gold Dollar 66 China 6/8" (Bought New)
21) Gold Dollar W59 China 6/8" (Bought New) - Still not able to hone it properly.

22) Wade & Butcher Sheffield (not at home yet) unidentified model (seems about 5/8")

23) J.A. Henckels 401 Platinum Solingen 5/8 - Just Bought it today... :yesnod: :thumbup::jump:
