Agreed- I have the same one. I have the proguard blades which I detest. I need to get some professionals.

I have the folding style and use the Professional blades. My beard is pretty tough but I see you need to use the Professional Super blades. Your whiskers must be so tough that they go out drinking and getting into fights withOUT you.

they drink jagermeister. No it was a miss order i have Professional blades, ProGuard and added a folder on the way. i thought this hobby was going to "save" me money

Nice razor. I have the DX in japanese style. I mostly use it with the Light blades and Pro blades.
In my experience the light blades is good on a daily basis, while the Pro blades does the job when I havent shaved for some days.

I shaved with regular vintage straights for a couple of years. I was just to much for me to keep them sharp. I have tough whiskers and they needed constant attention.
Now, Feather AC's are my favorite razors for weekend shaving( I use DE's during the week). I have 2 DXs, one ebony and one teak. I get the straight razor shave that I like with a fresh sharp edge whenever I need one. I too sort of like the ProGuard blades but I also like the Pro Supers. Some some unexplainable reason I seem to nick myself frequently with the regular Pro blades.
At any rate, congradulations on your beautiful new razor.

Nice razor, the only version I haven't tried. One of these days I'll have me one of those.

Have you tried the Kai Mild blades? My favorites, the ones I can get the most shaves out.
