OK, if you hadn’t figured it out, it’s a faux Thäter in size 000,,, but wait, Thäter does not make a size 000. Your right
First the story: A while back I received a Thäter 4125/0. I fell in love with it. It had a 22mm knot (23+mm at top of handle) , plenty backbone, and soft tips. It was small enough with the short handle that I badly wanted to make it my travel brush, but there was no way I was going to risk damage, loss, or theft in baggage or hotel.
Then, I see the brush below on ebay,,,,,,,, me thinks, re-knot it for a faux Thäter. Once it arrives I see that it is much smaller than I anticipated,,,,,, then I realize how great that really is considering I want to make a travel brush.
The result is this, a faux Thäter with a TGN 22mm 2-band finest bulb/extra hair, set at 50mm loft:
Why size 000? Here it is between a 4125/0 and a 4125/1 pre bloom (I figure it's a bit smaller than a 00 might be):
After a couple test/cleaning lathers:
Tomorrow is first use, me thinks i'll treat it (and me) to some MdC
The hard part might be letting it dry and putting it away in the travel kit
