New Den Addition

Well I had this crazy idea that I wanted to hang something on the wall in my bathroom to hold some face towels. Well my wife and I ended up going to Target today just to look around at a few things. Well SHE brought up the "towel thingy" idea. We went to the bathroom stuff isle and found this beauty...


Now this isn't exactly what I had in mind, but this just might work out. The towel idea was something similar to this but only with one basket and that I would hang it on the wall to the right and just above the plugins a little bit. Well my wife proposed the idea of hanging this one on the wall. Well I tried it in a couple places on the wall to see how I would like it and I must say, I might make it happen. Im so glad my wife comes up with some of this stuff and isnt against my shaving hobby. I am still planning on putting a small pile of facial towels from WCS on the bottom basket.

Notice the organization its in? Pre-shave/shave on top, post-shave on the middle, and as I mentioned before, towels on the bottom. Though I have a feeling at the rate Im going now that top shelf will fill up fast.

Yeah the blade bank is nice to have. I was throwing the blades in the garbage, wrapped up in the new blades paper. I still felt guilty about doing it though and once I knew that such a thing as a blade bank existed, I was all over it.

I think one thing I might do to make the stand just a little bit better is to have some pieces of glass cut, and I will frost them, to put on the bottom of all three shelves. I feel that not only will it add a nice look to the shelves but more importantly it will add some good surface for the stuff to sit on. I have to watch how I sit the bottles and smaller items because of the openings between the bars that they sit on. Other than doing that I think I got a great cheap stand. Just needs one minor improvement.

Not bad! I am looking for a solution to storing my stuff. The corner is reaching critical mass. Still looking for a good solution. If I had a workshop, I would craft what I am looking for, but in the mean time I am just shopping for solutions.

Im still flirting with this idea, but my wife and I agree that the HUGE mirror over our sink is nice, but could be cut down to a smaller size. So I think what I may do is cut it down, frame it, then have some matching small cupboards on each side of the mirror for storage. One for her and one for me.

I got this rack a while back at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I think it was about $30. $24 with their 20% coupon. It works great.
