Question: Were the NEW Deluxe ever silver plated (silver = the metal, not the color)?

The New De Luxe razors were either Chrome or gold plated. I don't think any were silver plated. I'll check Krumholz when I get a chance.

The New Standards, as I understand it, were silver, but the DeLuxe I have is chrome. I thought the DeLuxes were either gold or chrome while the Standards were either silver or gold.
There have been pics of advertisements (and boxes) posted here on B&B that specified chrome for a few gillette razors.
This thread shows what looks like a chrome New Deluxe Big Boy. My two ND Big Boys also look bluish, like the chrome plating on a DE89L.

Yes. Both my New De Luxe Big Boy and De Luxe Norfolk are clearly chrome. It is easy to see in side by side comparisons to silver.

I have parts of a New DeLuxe with a Bostonian style handle that is silver. Just waiting to find a complete one
