I like "Pit Bull"! I don't have an accurate scale, but it's quite heavy, yet very well balanced. I might try a Tech head on it as well. The first shave with the Deluxe head was fantastic!

Thank you Sir! That was my first try at making a "Bulldog" type handle...I'm going to make a couple more experimenting with the size/weight....One of my fave razors is a Brit New, but the handles on those are a bit light....I'll post pics when I'm done with my next attempt.

A friend of mine stopped by today to pick up a razor I got for him off the bay....I showed him my new handle design....With out me saying a word he said "I would call that the Pit Bull!"...LOL...So I guess this is officially the "Pit Bull"

As far as the weight, I don't have an accurate scale to weigh it....The best I can say is...It's pretty darn heavy!! I'll dig around the shop to see if I can find a better scale. Just by feel I'd say it weighs almost twice what a Big Fellow weighs.

Wow! Double a Big Fellow?!? That is a solid razor! I'd imagine that if you haven't learned the 'no pressure' dictum, you'd learn it quick with this one.

I never intended to sell the handles...I never even thought about making a handle at all until I joined B&B and got involved with the "Psycho" key project. CCBob has encouraged me to make handles as well....so we will see.... I am sending a "Pit Bull" to a member who has been very good to me since I joined B&B (not that all haven't!! this is truly a great "family")....I'll wait until I get some feedback from him before considering moving forward! He may tell me it only makes a fine door stop or paper weight!! I am starting another razor project this week, time permitting.....In the spirit of my avatar....I am going to attempt "To go where no Man has gone before"!! If I fail miserably....I will still post pics!!

Knob Height: .444 in (11.46 mm)
