Here is a new batch of shaving brushes I made during the last week and this weekend. As a reminder, all prices include the shipping within CONUS with priority mail incl. delivery confirmation and paypal fees!

1: Black and dark orange polyester resin with a Pure badger knot in 21 mm. The brush weighs 70 grams and has total height of 120 mm (approx 4.75"), the handle is 68 mm long ( approx 2.7"). $55

2. Wooden handle made from Lignum Vitae, a nice, oily and very hard wood that was and still is used in ship building (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lignum_Vitae). The knot is a 21 mm Pure Badger knot. The brush weighs 65 grams and has a total height of 120 mm (approx 2.75") and a handle length of 67 mm (approx 2.6"). $45

The above knots are from a famous German brush maker.

3. Finest Badger with a black resin handle, the finest badger is a 22 mm knot. The brush weighs 70 grams, the total height is 130 mm (approx. 5.1 ") and the handle itself is 68 mm (approx. 2.7 "). $55

4. 24 mm Silvertip Badger with a classical shaped faux Ivory handle. A great brush. My first brush I made for myself was made with a twin of this knot, this brush will look and feel great when in full bloom. I use it with both creams and soaps and it works superbly!
Weight is 80 grams, total length is 130 mm (approx 5.1 ") and a handle lenght of 67 mm (approx. 2.6 "). $65

Right now I am offering some decants of Knize Ten on the B/S/T forum, good way of combining shipping and save some $$!!

Rudy, I really like the look of that first brush. Alas, my brush buying days are on hold.

Good work on all of them.

UPDATE:
Brush 2 (with the Lignum Vitae handle) is gone, the others are still available.

Whew. Good. I dodged a bullet there. That is my favorite handle shape out of the four, with the white one a close second.

...there is always more of this material in my shop laying around and some knots, too...so if you are interested, shoot me a pm

Excellent work Rudy! I am an R&D Machinist, so I can appreciate fully, what it takes to do nice work.

I also recently purchased a wood lathe, with pen, and other projects in mind, eventually including fine walking sticks.

After seeing others making fine shaving brushes, I will probably make some in the future. I am not setup with proper ventilation, and basically everything else yet, so it will be some time before I get turning. Everything takes me forever now. I am disabled with MS.

Could you please tell me where you get your your Faux Ivory and other resin material? I would greatly appreciate it!

By the way....... I have the catalog for ONEWAY lathes, and really like the design of their lathes. I will probably be buying the Live Center of theirs. It is a great design.

I have saved your website in my Favorites, for Pen Turning, and Shaving Brush making.

Keep up the great work!

Take care.
