New Brush - Suggestions Needed

I have been straight shaving for about 55 shaves and am loving it. I have exclusively used my Omega 63171 Stripey Badger brush but am ready for an addition to the barn. According to Amazon, the specs on it are approx: height: 98 mm. loft: 50 mm. knot: 23 mm.

What I like about the Omega:
Good at soap lathering.
Lathers decently well on the face and holds a decent amount of lather.

What I don't like about the Omega:
Bristles are a bit sharp and scratchy, particularly as an exclusive face latherer, and since I have sensitive skin.
I suspect higher grade brushes could hold even more lather for multiple passes.

I want to continue face lathering exclusively, I have large hands, I want something softer but still with backbone. I wouldn't mind a bigger, fatter brush. Any thoughts or suggestions? Anything else I should consider?

Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks! (Fire away if I forgot anything important.)

The Thater 4125/2 2 band that just showed up on the BST is my favorite brush. It will probably have a little bit more backbone than the Omega and will have crazy soft tips.

What kind of budget are you lookin at? It sounds like you're looking more for a 28/30mm brush. If that's the case and budget is important, Larry at Whipped Dog could put something together for you for a completely reasonable price, and would give you more of an idea if a 28mm knot is something you actually want without breaking the bank.
