New brush care?

I recently bought a new badger brush to upgrade from a cheap fifteen dollar pure badger, and am still relatively new to wet shaving. My new brush is a parker chrome silvertip, and it's only my second brush. Any tips or necessary steps i should take before the first use??

I'm new here and I don't want to talk out of school, but my first brush, (with natural bristles), be it "pure"or "silver tip", is going to get a five minute soak, then used to make a nice lather, then sit overnight loaded with said lather.

Of course, rinsed out the following morning and hung to dry.

From what I've read so far, this is an acceptable beginning to an effective break-in.

Congratulations on the new brush! <Hunny!>

Silvertips are ready to go out of the box. Soak it for about 8-20 seconds before use.

If you have a new boar with a nice funky smell it's a good idea to lather it up and let it sit overnight.

I also have a Parker chrome silvertip. Great brush. A bit floppy but a fantastic face latherer especially with shave sticks and also good with bowl lathering creams
