nevr dull metal polish

No, but I just had a terrible experience with it when cleaning my guitar. The gold hardware looked dull and nevr dull claimed it could "safely" polish gold, brass, copper, etc. so I gave it a go. I rubbed the top of the tailpiece very gently and it ate the gold right off and left a sparkling silver finish. Needless to say I was not pleased. I imagine you might have the same result if you were to use it on gold razors.

I bought it to clean some chrome and really, it is not so great. There are far better metal polishes out there.

It's decent, but like the above poster mentioned, it is not kind to gold. I have a 'rare copperhead fat handle tech' to prove it (one of my early cleaning mistakes). :001_huh:

I used it decades ago on motorcycle aluminum case covers but I think it would be a bit aggressive for more delicate items.

Simichrome is my favorite for aluminum and brass and I also use it for the final cleaning stage on razors.

Don't use Nevr Dull on Razors. It's too harsh.

Try Blue Magic, MAAS or Flitz, they work great.

Be advised, even milder polishes like these can tub through thin plating, so don't go overboard.

Don't polish Gold razors, they have a laquer coating over the gold.

For Silver plated, I use TarnX. Works like a dream.

has anyone tried using barkeepers friend? It says its non abrasive and ok for coatings, Ive used it to polish sinks and pots and pans, I just havent been brave enough to try it on razors yet.

i've used bkf, both powder and liquid, to clean nickle plated razors, it's ok for removing dirt; but when i've left them to soak it seems to dull the chrome heads, which then had to polished with blue magic. blue magic does seem to work well as a polish, the only problem with blue magic is getting the residue out of nooks and crannies. sometimes have to use a toothpick to get it out of those places.

After polishing with blue magic, I apply a generous amount of dawn dishwashing liquid, and use a lot of water and a soft bristle toothbrush, and the blue residue disappears like.... magic.

Then a dry, and a buff with a soft cotton cloth.
