This is the Doug you were looking for @never-stop-learning ,

I found the Ti bird, as many have, to be smoother and more efficient than the WR2 SS 1.25.

Then @PRobots kept using his Ti WR2 1.35 everyday at not using his Ti bird.

My name was coming up on the Wolfman list and I mentioned that I was thinking about trying a Ti WR2, so @Latherati said he would send me a Ti WR2 1.35 to try and if I liked it he would sell it to me at a great price, he even had a new Timeless Crown 👑 Handle & WRH2 he would send and I could pick one or both, and to top it all off the cap was scalloped.

How could I resist, we are a group of enablers.

So I got it loved it and bought it.

So to answer your question I and @PRobots have found the Ti WR2 1.35 to be slightly smoother and a little more efficient than the Ti bird 🦅. But I will add if I was ever to keep two razors it would be the Ti WR2 1.35 & the Ti bird they are both the best I have ever used.

Kudos to Wolfman & Blackland for producing 2 incredible razors.

One other plus for the Ti bird is that I found it to be a little more carefree to use, I may buy one again at some point.

Doug aka SgtCrppls
So now I know the story of my Ti Bird, and why you sold it to me. 😎 if I ever decide to sell it, I will let you know in case you want to buy it back. But for now, it’s staying right here. 😀

Doubling up today to cover Fatip Friday and NOCvember. Used the Joris Classic for my first WTG & ATG passes and the Merkur 34C with Elite Razors Handle (huge gratitute to @Adam18 for his donation of this Merkur 34C to the 2022 Saint Sue Auction) for the XTG & Touchups. Both razors performed wonderfully. :001_wub:

New brush today. The Craving Shaving Brisk is quite comfortable in hand. The 26mm Crave is a decent synthetic knot. I'll use it some more to fine tune my thoughts.

Shave number two with the Heritage Gibbs 15 Replica, this time matched up with a wonderful Kai blade. For many years, I've been a "set it and forget it" adjustable razor user until I started reading the adjustable razors adventures of @Chan Eil Whiskers. Decided to try using different settings with every pass to better optimize things. With that in mind, I went with my standard Steep Angle 3-Pass plus Touchup Passes. Settings: WTG = 6, ATG = 4, XTG = 4, Touchup Pass = 2, Problem Areas = 1. The Heritage Gibbs acquitted itself quite well over most of my face and neck. It had some issues with my problem areas - mostly the goatee area, corners of my mouth, chin and the creases on either side of the mustache area. The shave was DFS+ with no irritation or blood. I actually did enjoy shaving with the Heritage Gibbs 15 Replica although, as an aside, I still think that changing the settings during the shave is a pain in the neck. ;)
The Heritage Gibbs 15 Replica is fun to use and delivers very good to excellent results, on a par (give or take a bit) with the Gillette Slim, Pearl Flexi v2 and my venerable Merkur Opgress. More shaves are required to decide whether it belongs in the Extended - Occasional Use Category or the Runs With the Big Dogs Category.

The Ti Vector matches up with my face, skin and beard beautifully. I especially value the outstanding nimble and maneuverable performance! :001_wub:
Got the matching brush and razor handles some time back. The brush handle feels very comfortable in hand. The razor handle sure looks cool matched up with the brush handle. :001_wub:

Shaving with the Frankenrazor SLOC/R41 Rosegold combines the best traits of both razors. The SLOC/R41 is efficient, smooth and effective. An excellent and very pleasant shave! :001_wub:

It's probably no secret that the Gillette Canada Pre-War Tech is not only one of my favorite Techs, but one of my favorite razors. Doug’s 25g GTC handle provides grip, control and comfort. Paired with a Kai, Feather, Perma-Sharp or Personna Israeli Platinum Red blade, the Canadian Pre-War Tech is efficient, smooth and highly effective! :001_wub:
