If my eyes are not deceiving me I see Jaco Pastorius as new avatar?

If so: awesome! (will need to switch my mind around and stop scanning for the fish guy 😂).

Guido
Your eyes do not deceive you, my friend. :)

Time to retire Captain Beefheart's iconic album "Trout Mask Replica". :)

Been listening to Jaco Pastorius lately and decided to go with him as my avatar.

A Mühle based Frankenrazor for Mühle Monday. The Yintal Bronze Cap matches up perfectly with the R41 Plate and the Perma-Sharp blade. The R95 Handle provides good control. The combination is highly efficient, moderately smooth and fairly effective! :001_wub:

The Omega Jade 011842 Premium Pure Bristle brush is wonderful! :001_wub:

This week's Lather, Aftershave and Fragrance rock! :punk: :001_wub:

It's not only fun, but quite educational to revisit some of the razors that used to be at the top of my razor world. The RazoRock GC84-P is just such a razor. Equipped with a fresh Personna Israeli Platinum Red blade and the wonderful GTC 25g handle, the GC84-P treated me to a truly superb shave. Medium+ efficient, really smooth, medium+ nimble and maneuverable, highly predictable = an effective razor that is easily used every day! It doesn't dethrone the Ti Blackbird or the other upper top tier DE Big Dogs, but the GC84-P is one heck of a good razor for not a lot of money! :001_wub:

The Omega Model 10066 White Handle is very cost effective and is a very good Boar brush! :001_wub:

This week's Lather, Aftershave and Fragrance rock! :punk: :001_wub:

Continuing to revisit some of the reasonably priced razors that I haven't used in some time, the RazoRock Lupo .72SB is on tap for Wednesday's shave. Paired up the Lupo .72SB with a Personna Israeli Platinum Red blade and the wonderful GTS 25g handle. The Lupo .72SB provided a Medium efficient, medium smooth, medium+ nimble and maneuverable, medium predictable = a medium effective razor. A decent performer but not (on my face, skin and beard) as effective as the GC84-P.

The Omega 10081 Silver Beehive is another cost effective, high performing Boar brush! :001_wub:

Continuing on the reasonably priced razors that I haven't used in some time journey, the RazoRock Lupo .95SB stepped up to the plate for Thursdays shave. Same Personna Israeli Platinum Red blade (now on the 3rd shave) and the wonderful GTS 25g handle. The Lupo .95SB provided a Medium/High efficient, medium++ smooth, medium+ nimble and maneuverable, medium/high predictable = a very effective razor. A definite step up (on my face, skin and beard) from the Lupo .72SB. I may have to do a more in depth comparison with the GC84-P! :001_wub:

The Zenith B34 Butterscotch Chubby looks cool and performs wonderfully! :001_wub:

Continuing on the reasonably priced razors that I haven't used in some time journey, the RazoRock Lupo DLC take place of pride for Friday's shave. Same Personna Israeli Platinum Red blade (now on the 4th shave). Went with the Timeless Spiral TRH6 Ti handle. The Lupo DLC is Medium efficient, medium++ smooth, medium+ nimble and maneuverable, medium/high predictable = a fairly effective razor. My only nit to pick is that the DLC finish occasionally feels like it "drags" just a little bit on my skin. In spite of that nit, I thoroughly enjoy my shaves with the Lupo DLC! :001_wub:

The Semogue Owners Club brush is right behind the Omega Jade in my pantheon of boar brushes! :001_wub:

Continuing on the reasonably priced razors that I haven't used in some time journey, the RazoRock GC68-P is up to bat for Saturday's shave. Same Personna Israeli Platinum Red blade (now on the 5th shave). Went with the GTC 25g handle. The GC68-P is Medium efficient, smooth, medium+ nimble and maneuverable, medium/high predictable = a fairly effective razor. Great DFS shave. Downsides? The GC84-P has the same strengths and is more efficient. If DFS is your goal, put a sharp blade in the GC68-P and it will get you there - day in and day out. :001_wub:

The Omega 10048 (Pro 48) Boar was my first boar brush. Still really enjoy using it! :001_wub:

This makes me want to compare my GC68-P with my ASD2 to see which one is smoother, as I feel they are about the same efficiency wise. I haven't picked up my GC68-P since I got my GC84-P... don't get me wrong, the GC68-P is a great razor, it just lacks in efficiency when compared to the GC84-P.

Doug,

I have the ASD2 and a GC68-P. I think the GC68-P is smoother and more efficient than the ASD2. It will be interesting to see your findings.

Pretty much how I feel about the GC68-P vs the GC84-P. The GC84-P has all of the strengths of the GC68-P plus it is more efficient and effective. :)
