Had good luck with the Perma-Sharp in both razors.

The Perma-Sharp and the Wizamet didn’t work as well as the Feather in the Gen 3 Level 2 - on my whiskers, at least.

It's not that I'm down on the Gen 3 Level 2, it's just that the Gen 3 Level 3 is a much better match for my whiskers, face, etc.

The combination of the Fatip Piccolo SE + the German Bolzano is a total pleasure to use. Efficient, Smooth and Effective. I really like this razor/handle/blade combination!

The Omega EVO is an outstanding synthetic brush that performs wonderfully.

Van Yulay Puros La Habana (Tallow + Emu Oil) soap is excellent! Top Tier soap!

For Clubman Friday, I went with the classic - Pinaud Clubman. My face is happy!

Two words to describe the Charcoal Goods Brass Gen 1 Level 3 razor: WHOA BABY!!!!! Paired with a Feather blade, this gorgeous razor is a lean, mean, whisker slicing machine! Used my standard 3-Pass plus Touchups process with my preferred steep angle. The Gen 1 Level 3 is highly efficient, smooth and highly effective. Superb results. The Charcoal Goods Gen 1 Level 3 razor is a Big Dog. In the hands of an experienced shaver, no reservations or caveats. This is one great razor!

The Wild West Brushworks Volcanic Ash Handle (TNS 26mm Original BOSS Fan) is one of my top synthetic brushes. Very capable and enjoyable brush!

Martin de Candre Nature is as good as soap gets. Period!

Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum is one of my favorite aftershaves. My face is happy!

The Charcoal Goods Mixed Metal (Brass Cap and Handle, Stainless Plate) Gen 2 Level 3, paired with a Feather blade, is up to bat for today's shave. Used my standard 3-Pass plus Touchups process with my preferred steep angle. The Gen 2 Level 3 is very close to the Gen 1 Level 3 in efficiency, but is not quite as smooth. Both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 are highly effective razors, but I give the effectiveness nod to the Gen 1. The Charcoal Goods Gen 2 Level 3 razor is also a Big Dog and a wonderful razor!

The Wild West Brushworks Invasion Handle (TNS 26mm Original BOSS Fan) is one of my top synthetic brushes. Very capable and enjoyable brush!

The Charcoal Goods Brass Gen 3 Level 3, paired with a Feather blade, is up to bat for today's shave. Used my standard 3-Pass plus Touchups process with my preferred steep angle. The Gen 3 Level 3 is highly efficient - on a par with the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Level 3 plates. The Gen 3 plate is smooth, at least as smooth as the Gen 1 plate and quite possibly smoother. All three Level 3 plates, Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3, are excellent and highly effective razors. Right now the Gen 1 and Gen 3 are running pretty darn even, very slightly ahead of the Gen 2. One thing for sure, the Charcoal Goods Gen 3 Level 3 razor is a great razor and is, without any reservations or caveats, promoted to Big Dog!

Doing an encore today with the Charcoal Goods Brass Gen 3 Level 3, again paired with a Feather blade. The Charcoal Goods Gen 3 Level 3 razor is a great razor. Efficient, Smooth and Effective. The CG G3 L3 is definitely in my Big Dogs Category!

The Turn-N-Shave Chess 25mm BOSS brush is an awesome $10 brush. Ridiculously good brush for the money!

The Tatara Nodachi SB is a fine razor. Well constructed. Nice finish. Good looking. Well balanced. The Feather blade is a wonderful match for the Nodachi SB and the combination produces excellent results!

The Yaqi Dandelion Green 24mm Cashmere brush is another really nice, very reasonably priced brush!

Cella Extra Extra Bio is excellent soap. Slick, cushioning and protective!

TFS Linea Intenso - Bergamotto Neroli aftershave matches the Cella Extra Extra Bio soap wonderfully. My face is happy.

I have three categories:

• Big Dogs
• Runs With The Big Dogs
• Extended, Occasional Use

I'm shaving with the Nodachi/Feather combination again tomorrow. If my shave is as good as the one I got today, the Nodachi will at least be in the Runs With The Big Dogs Category.

Feathers have been coming through for me recently.

The Rudy Vey Emerald Green AS3M is a great handle. Very ergonomic and easy to grip. The Mühle 25mm STF is one of my favorite synthetic knots. Great combination. Great brush!

Barrister and Mann Barrister's Reserve Lavender is one of the best soaps in my Den. Slick, cushioning and protective with great post shave face feel!

Fine Lavender aftershave and Ach Brito Lavanda Eau de Cologne are a great match for each other and also for the Barrister and Mann Barrister's Reserve Lavender soap. My face is in "Lavender Heaven"!
