Wow, don't know what happened. Read that hair conditioner softens cuticle later of your beard so I decided to try it. Showered and washed my face 2-3 times with Neutrogena, as usual then applied some Pantene Conditioner to my beard and let it soak in for 2 minutes. Yep it did soften my whiskers. Then, I thought, while whipping up some Jabonman lather, I'd use some 1805 creme as a pre shave to keep my whiskers damp, and get some added softening from the cream. Well... My face just exploded! Yikes, what a burn. Rinsed off and swiped on some Jabonman which had an initial calming effect but soon after my face continued to burn. Not really sure why. Always use the Neutrogena, have used the Pantene before also, and never had a problem with T&H. I think I might have used 1805 after Pantene once before without incident. Cant figure what happened. Maybe washed too much oils out of my face in the shower? Got a really smooth and close shave (toughed it out). Actually a terrificly close straight razor shave which I attribute to all the prep, and leaving the lather on, to poof up a bit - but man, does my face HURT! Any thoughts, anyone?
