What's new

Need vintage handle help.

Hey guys. I've recently purchased a vintage brush handle, but the problem is is that it got destroyed today at work by some jerk...

I was wondering if anyone could make suggestions as to a good vintage model that would fit a 18mm knot.

Oh, you can't just casually toss that off without including the story. :a47:

Well, photos are out of the question because it's long gone now. Pretty much what happened was this:

I managed to cut and clear out all the old hair from the handle, and decided to take a small break. Well, after about 8 minutes, I came back into my shop to find my handle had been smashed into 3 pieces by what I can only guess is a hammer. Stupid people....I guess it's a good thing I only spent $3 total on this thing. That'll teach me to trust people at work ever again.

Yeah, I've got a 18mm ready to go. Just need a new handle is all.

What was the destroyed handle like? Can you describe it or name it? I have a LOT of vintage handles that I get as parts of "lots" that I buy, and If I can find something your interested in, I'll PIF it to you.

Let me know.

I am very sorry, Jimbow. I forgot all about this. I am not home until tomorrow night. If yo still need one and don't hear from me by Monday, PM me.

Here's the link to the auction of my original handle....

I have this one, as far as I can measure it should work (hard to get an accurate reading with the hair there).
It's a Made Rite and in very good condition.

If you want it, let me know and I'll get it off in the mail to you.

I've also got these two, though I'm sure the knot size is too big. That's all I have in a white / cream.
If you'd rather have one of these, let me know.
I do have to say that there is a bit of discoloration on these two, and I don't know if it's on purpose or not. It seems pretty uniform, but I just don't know.
The one on the left is an old Fuller and the one on the right is a "Stanhome"
