I just received a razor today that I acquired off the bay. According to the auction it was in good condition. Surprisingly when I opened the razor it looks like it was in quite good condition. I got my Scrubbing Bubbles and cleaned her up to find that she was in "Very Near Mint" to "Mint" condition. I looked at the date codes and started trying to identify this razor but I have no idea. The date code is N2 and it obviously looks like a tech. With that date code it has to either be a 1943 Tech in which there were only a very limited production of civilian razors and the rest were war production or a 1968 Tech.
Can someone tell me which year this razor is from and a little more about it? Specifically what type of plating and anything special about the decorative handle. I haven't shaved with it yet but is will be my next shave. As far as looks it has to be my favorite razor in my collection to date. Thanks for your assistance.
