Need help on rooney brushes

So, I am going to take the plunge and get a Rooney brush but I am unsure of which one to get, the heritage or the cheaper 1/2. I don't mind spending the extra money for the heritage if it is worth it, but from reading a couple of posts I see a mixed bag of opinions and was wondering for those that have them, if the heritage was worth the extra cost. I am about 60% soaps and 40% creams and currently have a pure badger brush. I gather that the "fine" brushes are awesome, but probably $175 is my max. THanks

I have not used a Rooney Heritage line brush - but I REALLY love my 1/2 in Super silvertip from Vintage Blades. I'm sure we can find someone who has used both. I guess I would suggest the 1/2 in super silvertip from VB.

The heritage stubby size 2 is $55 more - not too bad.

The third option is the 1/2 in finest. That's actually nicer than the heritage. Very expensive though.

Again - I am very happy with my 1/2 from Vintage Blades.

You'll always get a mixed bag of opinions; what something is worth is wholly subjective.

Will a heritage perform as much as its extra cost over 1/2? Probably not.

I have a 1/2 and can tell you it's a top quality, dense brush that lathers far quicker than my Vulfix, and has the backbone to properly load up soaps off the puck.
