Anyone know of a source for affordable replacement parts? My 40's Super Speed needs an end cap.

You could try the BST or the usual website. I have seen replacement parts for sale there.
Probably more economical to just toss it (or give it away) and buy a new one on the bay. They’re very affordable.

Exactly like THIS. The 1947 isn't exactly "later":
Right. What I meant by "later" is from around 1962-3 and on, you can't use those and the black handle flare tips. Gillette changed the end cap design around G or H date codes. I call these "late models". But you can salvage the piece you need form any US Super Speed from your year up through the 50's style flare tips including red tips and blue tips, tons of beat up donors out there. I've replaced end caps from Super Speeds on a President before, same part.
