Need a little help here!

Question....

Anybody know if there's a diagram or which way to shave your face with each pass?

Is it the same as when you shave with a DE?

I know which way to go on the first pass.....but after that I feel lost and just make up stuff based on the growth of my facial hair. It could be because I'm not very good yet, but it always ends in nicking and the styptic stick.

Thanks for the help in advance Gents!

I go in the general up down left right diagonal strokes that kind of resemble my grain.

My advice would be on the face go from top of cheek to bottom of cheek and on throat go from chin/jaw to chest or opposite depending on which feels easier for first.

Then from nose to ear or ear to nose and opposite of first pass on neck

Third. From jaw to upper cheek and then from center neck to outside neck using 45° blade

for me I now go:
top of ear to jawline
work down and across to edge of "smile lines"
stretch jaw line up and shave upper neck
repeat on opposite side
re lather chin and upper lip
shave upper lip and lower lip/chin area
re lather under chin and neck
shave chin and neck
I make a point of leaving my chin stubble to soak and have 3 lathers because its a problem area for me with a bit of psoriasis and tough stubble...so the extra time to soak and lather really helps the shave there.
if you stretch your jawline up tight enough you can actually shave the majority of left and right neck on the flat surface of your jawline making it a lot easier. learning the ways to stretch your face is the very best thing to get to grips with!
