I've got handles about done on some vintage handles. They aren't marked, but they look very much like Ever Readys. The hole and the old knots are all 18mm. I am looking around and since this is my first, I don't want to sink too much money into the knots. Golden Nib only seems to have badger and boar. Was hoping to maybe get some synthetics, but those all seem to start around 20mm. Can someone please point me to a place where I can get some inexpensive synthetic 18mm knots?

This is disappointing this went unanswered for almost a year now.
You might try Maggards. I know they sell synths down to 20mm. They also have an inexpensive travel brush using an 18mm synth. It is a relatively small (though very dense) knot. Worst case, buy the travel brush and remove the knot.

Shave Forge sells 20mm knots, you might try contacting them and see if they can get you an 18mm knot.
