What's new

Need a cold-weather scent...that I'm not allergic to!

After shaving with TGQ Toasted Almond SS this morning, I was wishing I had some cologne to wear that would continue that "theme," if you will. What do I mean? Well, a rich, deep scent rather than an oceanic, light, citrusy, or sweet scent.

My problem is that I'm quite allergic to cedar and to juniper. I'm a touch sensitive to sandalwood, as well, but can tolerate it as a basenote most of the time.

So here's the difficult question: Are there any nice, cold-weather, rich, deep scents I could wear that don't have any cedar in them? Anything that is somewhat reminiscent of that "Toasted Almond" smell?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't looked at the fragrance notes yet, but I tested Serge Lutens Chene in a store the other day, and it has oak, which I don't think I've smelled in a fragrance before. It was similar to cedar, but I could tell the difference and enjoyed it. I want to go back and try it again.

EDIT: This may not work for you. I didn't realize it has cedar crystals in the top notes.

Top Notes
Sap notes, Cedar Crystals, Black Thyme

Middle Notes
Silver Birch, Rum, Beeswax, Oak
