need a bigger handle...

noob with a Gillette Tech - and I like it a lot. but I could sure use a longer handle and maybe a little more heft to it. would really like something with a fatter handle so I can get my hands on it better. ideas for a noob needing a little fatter handled razor?

The Tech comes in a Fat Handled version, though it's fatter, it's not really longer by much.

There are some longer handled vintage razors out there, and cooncatbob makes some really nice stuff with custom handles and vintage heads.

The lady Gillette has a nice long handle. but if that dose not do it for you you can go with a progress with a long handle (not much longer though) or have bob custom make a handle for you using a Gillette shave head.

The cost will be greater than what you probably paid for your Tech, but I would suggest a Merkur 38C (aka Merkur Barberpole). This is the same head as the Merkur 34C (aka Merkur HD) but with a longer handle, cost is $42.00:

Note, that this also comes in stylish red, and blue handles as well:

Alternatively, you might want to see if you can find a Gillette Knack, this is a variation on a Superspeed, that has a quite a bit longer (plastic) handle. They shave like a dream. :tongue_sm This would cover the need for a longer handle, but not the need for more weight: Knacks tend to be rather top heavy, due to the plastic handle.

As mentioned, the Lady Gillette or Knack is an option. Other longer handled razors are the Gillette Slim Adjustable and the Schick Krona. If those don't appeal to you, I'd go with the handle Bob sells mated to a Tech or New/New improved head. There is also the Merkur 38.
