Near-wedge?

Most vintage and new razors I see are hollow or half-hollow.

Anyone know where I can get a quarter hollow, wedge, or near-wedge? Preferably a 4/8 or 5/8; a 3/8 would be a bit small and I think I own a 3/8 hollow I need to clean up and re-scale anyway...

Actually a 4/8 quarter hollow would be excellent, but such a thing...

A vintage Duble Duck Satin Wedge is what you want. If you want new you would need to contact a custom maker.

Sheffield blades seem to be more likely to be wedgie than others, though there are a bunch of American ones too, and some German ones. I'd say check the classifieds here and on SRP, and look through vendor's sites.

Puma made a sweet little wedgy (I'd call it a 1/4 grind) 4/8ths. I've had two of them, and they are great little shavers.

Heljestrands "24" is a 4/8 & 5/8 wedge, that often comes up for sale IMO.

Try "dubl duck". I think it is ignoring your search because it is finding zero results.

Finding a good DD Satinwedge is not going to be easy or cheap. They are pretty rare, and they are sought after.
