Natural rwemedy for moles, warts, and skin tags?

Does anyone have a natural/homeopathic remedy/cure for warts, moles, or skin tags. The woman who cuts my hair said that another customer of hers recommended castor oil. She said she was 95 yrs old and not prone to lying. I have recently seen ads on tv for a remedy. I hope that as smart as many readers of this forum are there will be some answers. Thanks

Best of luck. I think if someone DID come up with an actual safe, non-scarring and reliable way, they could be ready to make large amounts of money. Remember there are many types of moles, and they can grow quite deep, so some removal techniques can leave holes in the skin, scaring, discoloration, and not to mention most dermatologists will recommend checking any mole to be removed for cancer, so they probably wouldn't recommend removing them without professional care in any circumstance.

Btw, how do you remember that username? Wow.

For skin tags, I have been suggested the following:

clean the area. use a cotton ball moistened with water and add 3 drops tea tree oil. Apply the oil to the skin tag 3-4 times per day for 3-4 days. The skin tag should drop off.

Have not yet tried it, but do finally have all the stuff to start.

Well, with skin tags, you can probably just clip them off with nail clippers/scissors and stuff. But moles are another story, they have roots and all sorts of stuff in them. They also bleed like crazy if you hurt them, and then grow back if they are cut.

I wonder if it is possible to request a name change... I was counting the numbers to see if it was a phone number or something, lol.

Just wanted to mention that warts are caused by human papiloma virus (which most people have). They come and go as your immune system wages a battle against the virus. Having your dermatologist freeze them off will make them go away, although they can return in the same spot if not frozen deep enough. Doing things to enhance your immune system will probably help keep them at bay as well. I have one of my thumb that returns on occasion, when I'm going through particularly stressful times (and goes away all on its own). I've also frozen it once, so as you can tell, the treatment doesn't necessarily work permanently. As others have said, see a doctor/dermatologist about skin issues. In my experience, most "natural" remedies are snake oil.

I've gotten rid of skin tags by first freezing them with a wart removal kit, then clipping them off with a nail clippers. Though the freezing helps, it still hurts, and it still bleeds. If you don't like pain, it's no the way to go.

As far as warts, I've removed them with apple cider vinegar. You can google the method but in a nutshell, you soak a bit of cotton with it, put it on the wart and place a band-aid over it. Keep this up and after a few days the wart will turn black and come out. I've used this method on warts that would just not go away with Compound W and such. Some people complain about the pain of it, but I think it's pretty minor - a mild stinging on the 3rd day or so. I've definitely found it to be more effective on bigger warts. I usually have a couple tiny ones on my hands and it's kinda tough to get rid of them using ACV,and if the bit of cotton you use is bigger than the wart, the vinegar will burn off the surrounding skin as well. Either way, I can say from experience it's not a snake oil method, and it's fast/cheap.

I had one in a place I would rather not talk about, and the doc prescribed something called I think Podofilox. Followed the directions and that sucker went byebye in a couple of weeks and never came back.

Got liquid nitrogen?

Tea tree oil is said to work. The vinegar sounds good, too. I think you want the concentrated stuff, and use just a tiny pinch of cotton, just to cover the wart.

Good luck with it. And remember, medical advice you get here is worth just what you paid for it.

Lemon juice is supposed to work well too. I think it has to do with the acid burning it off. Just make sure that you don't get vinegar, lemon juice or anything like that anywhere but on the mole. It can and will burn the skin around it if you aren't careful.

recommended castor oil. She said she was 95 yrs old and not prone to lying.

"Not prone to lying" doesn't mean that she's not mistaken.
Remember that for many over 60-70, Castor oil was viewed as a cure-all, not unlike aspirin.
Kids were afraid to complain about ANY ailment because mom would pull out the bottle of castor oil or cod liver oil.

And yet I willingly take cod liver oil every day, and most doctors recommend it as well. Great source of omega 3s. Our grandparents knew more than we give them credit for. Perhaps not a remedy for all, but a staple of healthier living for sure.

Just a suggestion, don't have the moles / warts "frozen" off, it is a bit painful. Have them burned off, this I found was painless and smooth sailing.

Go to DR. I have had to have seed moles or skin tags removed from several areas of my body over the years. My Dr cut and burned them and they didn't come back.

anyone ever remove a skin tag on the skin underneath the eye...all these remedies scare me a bit on such a sensitive area

+1 on seeing the Dr. for these. Over the years I've had a couple on the bottom lid of my eye and went to the eye doc. and had them removed. No problem at all other than a very slight sting when they inject the novacane to freeze it.

As for skin tags on other parts of the body, like the neck or armpit area where I've had a couple, I just roll the tag between my fingers until I feel it pinch. Then leave it alone. Next day roll it a bit more until you again feel it pinch. After doing this for several days the tag will just come right off in your fingers. A doc. told me doing that was O.K., I've done this several times without any problems or marks left after the tag has come off.

Moles and skin tags I would have checked out by a doctor.

I've had a couple of warts in my lifetime. I tried several OTC treatments with no success. My doctor recommended duct tape, and by gosh, it worked!

After getting out of the shower and ensuring your skin is completely dry, tear off a piece of duct tape large enough to cover the wart and surrounding area. Leave the tape on until you bathe the next day, then throw it away. After being covered up all day, the wart will look white, and feel soft. The white skin should feel soft, and is essentially "dead skin" now. You can get rid of this a number of ways (finger nail clipper, cuticle scissor, callus file, etc). Cut or file away the dead skin, and reapply the duct tape.

After a few days, you'll begin to notice a difference. This process make take a few weeks to a couple months, but it worked on both of my warts. Just to be safe, be very careful when trimming any dead skin off, and I would set aside a tool that is used ONLY for this. Make sure it's sanitized with alcohol, flame, whatever to prevent infection.
