Natural Progression of Particular Connisseurers

So, my buddy got me into wet shaving this year. I felt as though I was providing relief to our environment since I wasn't contributing plastic to land fills anymore (hey anything as an excuse to find a cool new hobby that really isn't all that expensive right?). I knew I wouldn't save money as with the ten or so higher end brushes, four awesome razors, and closet full of cremes, soaps and blades have proven. I always considered myself a creme guy since that is what I was raised with. I have sampled and bought many of the "nice" ones. I like them. Some were ok. One in particular, the most expensive I think sold sucked for me. Of course to quench my thirst of buying new stuff, I don't really need, I have progressed onto soaps. I initially thought soap seemed to much work and a burden I was not interested in. I thought soap users were stupid. Why all this work in the morning? This soap users must be the proletariat of the wet shaving community. RIGHT?

Cella, once mastered its lathering technique is ooo la la. REALLY LIKE IT! I then moved onto AOS Sandalwood and I LOVE IT!!!!! I, my wife and 6 yr old daughter find that scent INTOXICATING! I know what vampires feel like when they smell blood. Now I find myself with two new tins of Mike's Natural. ITS FCKING NIRVANA!!!!! Coupled with my Trader SB my face feels like a soft cloud of pleasure.

I still think cremes are nice but oh man I am a SOAP ADDICT!!!! I am a little sad I went through so many years without this little pleasure.

I apologize. I have now decided that you soap connoisseurs are gentlemen and scholars. I am also quite sure that all the great men in the history of the world were soap users! Well at least its fun to think so.

If you look at history, you're probably correct. Soaps were invented/created long before creams (i.e., soft soaps) were. Therefore it's very likely that the great historical figures used a soap for shaving...assuming they shaved at all!
