The brand Nichiri was originally a shaving products store founded in Osaka in 1885. It was one of the first stores in Japan to sell Western shaving products. It manufactures 'straight razors' under the names of Cape, King Perikan, Manaslu, Rikisha and Yaichi.

Natural Whetstone
Over millions of years this natural beauty has been forming underground. For those who don't know, a natural combo is a coticule where two different layers (the yellow coticule proper - aprox 6000-8000 grit - and the belgian blue stone -3000-4000 grit) are found fused together in a usable form. In other words, you have a two sided stone formed by nature; which is not only handy but a true geological treasure.
This larger stones have a nice bench format and their versatility allows them to handle all kinds of sharpening jobs on one stone.
Do not use thick slurry but stay with a milky consistence. Dilute the slurry occasionally with a finger dipped in water and enjoy one of the best stones that nature has carefully and patiently formed over the ages.
Sizes are drawn on the coticules and correspond to a Bout 9*.
