Nasty Knicks

Gents, Dont me misled by the boys at B&B, I am not sufferring from a relapse on the Mach 3. I own 5 DE razors, they are, in no particular order, 2 Muhles, a faux ivory handle Chatsworth by Edwin Jagger and the Edwin Jagger with the metallic handle. Rounding up the 5 is the Merkur 34D gold plated razor.
I dont profess to be a well honed DE shaver, I've been at less than 6 months and to be frank, I am still perfecting it. It is not made any easier as I suffer from tremors in the morning (and most of the day) and yielding a DE razor at the crack of dawn would be considered foolhardy by most. However, the Merkur I can handle with ease, a smooth ease is always ensured whilst the other 4 always reveal littlem knicks and cuts.
Could any of you old hands out there spare me the time and give me advice as to why my Merkur performs the best as opposed to the other 4 expensive options?

There are some razors that when aggressiveness, weight, and balance come into play give one person a better shave than another razor. Some to the lightest and mildest razors give me the worst shaves.

It's like a pair of shoes. It doesn't always matter how much you pay, some just feel better than others. They may be the same size, etc. - but the feel different.

In other words, it just works better in your hand.

Weight of razor and the amount of the blade that is exposed.

Look at the merkur progress razor and dial it down to one or 2. It has weight, and you can control the aggressiveness.

Or, what Ouch says.
