Naniwa 12000 Super Stone

Is there a difference between the sides of the Naniwa 12000 stone? One side seems to be a little more coarse than the other. Just wondering...

No differenc in the composition. Might be a difference in the surface finish from the manufacturing process, but you will be lapping it before use, anyway. Just pick a side to be the top and lap that side only. You should see a label stamped along the edge. I orient mine so that it is upside up but it really doesn't matter.

My replacement one just arrived a few minutes ago, from Paul's Finest. Very nice synth.

I got the thick 20mm on this time. And have locked it away from small boys who like to play with fragile things.
