I think my experience varies greatly depending on the brush that I use, although I don't think there's any correlation to size- As everyone on B&B knows, size isn't everything. Hair type, loft, density, etc. can all affect the lather.

Thanks for pointing out the many variables involved in brush differences.

I love the small size of the C&E brush but am not particularly fond of the "scritchiness" of the pure badger. I am considering a Savile Row Silvertip in a size similar to the little C&E brush.
