Mystery Bakelite razor ID help please

Hello,

My sister in law gave me a very early birthday present today. It is the below pictured Bakelite razor.
She bought it in an antique shop and it was labeled "WW2, British made".
There are no markings on it.
Has anyone seen this type of razor and do you have any clues on who makes it?

Cheers
John

Handle looks similar to Merkur 45 but not finding that style head on them at the moment.

Minimal blade gap. Could have decent blade exposure. Does it accept regular/current DE blades? Looks almost Wardonia-esque in a way.. Interesting. Let us know how she shaves!

Hello,

Haven't tried it yet. It does take standard DE blades. The blade exposure looks like it will be an aggressive shave.
Manual blade alignment was required.

Here are some more pictures with the blade installed. Hopefully will try very soon. Still no clues on manufacturer.

Cheers
John

The handle is similar to a Contact Propeller bakelite razor.

And this is a MERKUR Bakelite Safety Shaving Razor (Model: MK030)

Failure to launch........:07:

Upon final tightening of handle prior to shave handle jumped a thread and wouldn't tighten completely. Not sure if handle threads are damaged or if handle is a mismatch.
Need to go to hardware store with both and test thread sizes with nuts and machine screws to verify thread sizes.
